From the Editor’s Desk

Vimarshodgam Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, VIMJINS (ISSN: 2583-228X) was inaugurated in 2021 as an annual publication. Encouraged by the growing stream of submissions to the journal, last year we decided to double the frequency of the journal to twice a year, in March and October. I proudly announce the launch of the October 2023 issue.

This journal aims to provide a platform for wider dissemination of original, creative & intellectual work by academicians, industry professionals and practitioners and to encourage researchers to examine issues and concerns, peculiar to hilly regions like Uttarakhand.

The current issue is an honest effort at meeting these objectives. The articles in this issue contain a diverse array of scholarly articles ranging from application of Block-chain technology in financial services to Social Competence among teachers in higher-education. The commentaries on recent developments published in the ‘Perspective’ section further enrich this issue.

We, in the editorial team, would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to our Consultant Editors/ Advisory Board for their guidance in bringing out this issue. We would also like to acknowledge the contribution of the members of the Reviewers’ Panel who, despite their busy schedules, have scrutinized the manuscripts and provided constructive suggestions to enhance their quality. The contributors to this issue also deserve our heartfelt thanks for having expressed their faith in this publication by sharing their research. We also acknowledge the contribution of Dr. Rakesh Pant, Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora for helping us with plagiarism-check services. This issue could not have seen the light of the day without the collective efforts of all the aforementioned.
