From the Editor’s Desk

We are delighted to announce the release of the third edition of the Vimarshodgam Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, VIMJINS (ISSN: 2583-228X), marking another significant milestone. Our journal serves as a platform for academics, industry professionals, and practitioners in management and related fields to share their original and innovative work. In particular, we strive to address the unique issues and challenges faced by mountainous regions such as Uttarakhand, which have remained largely unexplored until now. By providing an avenue for publishing such research, we aim to contribute to the development of these regions.

The current issue represents a sincere endeavor to fulfill these objectives. The articles featured in this edition draw inspiration from contemporary developments worldwide. Diverse research papers from various academic disciplines, including management, sociology and finance, are included. Additionally, the 'Perspective' section presents an insightful commentary by domain experts on the phenomenon of Whistle-blowing, while an engaging interview of Late Shri Sundar Lal Bahuguna, an eminent environmentalist, enriches the content.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed Consultant Editors and Advisory Board for their invaluable guidance in bringing this issue to fruition. We also express appreciation to the members of the Reviewers' Panel, who dedicated their time amidst their busy schedules to meticulously evaluate the manuscripts and offer constructive suggestions to enhance their quality. Our sincere thanks go to the contributors of this edition, who have placed their trust in our publication by sharing their research.

Furthermore, we would like to acknowledge the generous assistance provided by Professor Dr. Deepak Kumar, Assistant Professor (Botany) at LSMGPGC, Pithoragarh, who volunteered to conduct plagiarism checks. We are also grateful to Dr. Bibhash Kumar Mishra, Associate Professor & Deputy Librarian at Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora, for his valuable assistance in the plagiarism-checking process. The creation of this journal would not have been possible without the collective efforts of all those mentioned above.

Lastly, the value of a journal lies in its content, and improving its quality necessitates candid feedback from its readers. As the current issue graces your computer and mobile screens, we eagerly anticipate your critical comments, which will enable us to raise the bar even higher in future editions. We are also pleased to announce that moving forward, the journal will be published bi-annually, with the next issue scheduled for October 2023.
