(National, Bi -Annual, Bilingual, Interdisciplinary, Peer-Reviewed, Open Access, Online Journal)
I am proud to announce the launch of the second issue of the Vimarshodgam Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, VIMJINS (ISSN: 2583-228X). The journal aims to provide a platform for wider dissemination of original, creative & intellectual work by academicians, industry professionals and practitioners from management and allied fields. It also strives to encourage researchers to examine issues and concerns, peculiar to hilly regions like Uttarakhand, which are hitherto largely unexplored. By providing an avenue for publishing such work, the journal aspires to play a role in the development of such regions.
The current issue is an honest effort at meeting these objectives. The articles in this second issue also draw heavily from the developments in the contemporary world. This issue contains an eclectic mix of research papers from academic disciplines of education, history, environment studies, political science, finance and marketing. Commentaries by domain experts on recent developments in the field of law and education can be found in the ‘Perspective’ section. A book-review further enhances the value of this issue.
We, in the editorial team, would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to our Consultant Editors/ Advisory Board for their guidance in bringing out this issue. We would also like to acknowledge the contribution of the members of the Reviewers’ Panel who, despite their busy schedules, have scrutinized the manuscripts and provided constructive suggestions to enhance their quality. The contributors to this issue also deserve our heartfelt thanks for having expressed their faith in this publication by sharing their research for this second issue.
We are also grateful to Professor (Dr) Ashok Negi, Ex-Principal, Laxman Singh Mahar Government PG College, Pithoragarh for having readily approved funding for this journal during his tenure. It is this funding which still keeps this journal afloat. We also acknowledge the contribution of Dr. Bibhash Kumar Mishra, Associate Professor & Deputy Librarian, Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora for helping us with plagiarism-check services. This journal could not have seen the light of the day without the collective efforts of all the aforementioned.
At last, a journal is only as good as its content; and improving the quality of the content is not possible without ruthlessly honest feedback from its readers. Now that the second issue of the journal is on your computer/mobile screens, we eagerly look forward to a bagful of such critical comments from each one of you so that we may raise the bar further in the forthcoming issues.
