About Vimarshodgam Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies

Vimarshodgam- meaning “source of (intellectual) deliberations”- Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies (VIMJINS), an initiative of Department of Business Administration at Laxman Singh Mahar Campus, Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand) aspires to provide a platform for wider dissemination of original, creative & scholarly work by academicians, industry professionals and practitioners from management and allied fields. It aims to highlight intellectual contributions which can help solve real world problems. It also strives to encourage researchers to examine issues and concerns peculiar to hilly regions and thus play a role in development of such regions.

This journal also aspires to help the young upcoming researchers in publishing their intellectual work with guidance from our Editorial Board and Panel of Reviewers.

All submissions to the journal are reviewed in terms of their contribution to literature, appropriate methodology, quality of empirical evidence and most importantly, application to real world problems.

Categories of submission

• 1. Research Articles : Original, unpublished research papers in management and allied areas consistent with the scope of the journal are considered for this section. Authors need to keep the data-set used for such articles safe as they may be asked to share the same by the editor.
• 2. Extended Abstracts : Extended Abstracts with brief mention of related theory, objectives, methodology, results, discussion/conclusion and references are accepted in this section to provide a forum for young researchers to showcase their doctoral research.
• 3. Case Studies : Cases describing ethical dilemma faced by managers and/or application of theories in management and allied areas to real-world problems are included in this section. Cases should be written in third person and should also provide relevant data. Case study should be accompanied by supplementary material (assignment questions for discussion in the class along with plausible answers, theories/models/frameworks used for analysis of questions and supporting materials to enhance student-learning).
• 4. Perspectives : Commentary on any recent event of interest in management or allied fields are published in this section.
• 5. Book Reviews : Reviews of recently published books in management and allied fields are also considered for publication in the journal.
• 6. Conversations : Interviews with acclaimed academicians and industry-professional in management and allied fields highlighting their scholarly contributions or/and recent advances in the discipline are considered for this section.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to place an article in a specific section, as deemed fit.
